Maybe I entered the wrong keywords, but I couldn't find any relevant mentions of the Inevitable Game that was added to Arkham Horror: 3rd Edition's Expansion, Under Dark Waves.
Inevitable Game is basically a life story of investigators who have to play each scenario once, with harder and harder setup with each game. The goal is to win as many games as possible before killing all investigators.
We started an inevitable game with the investigator combo that we feel is the strongest: Michael McGlen and Agnes Baker.
(here is a good tier list for all investigators, they don't agree with us, but we feel that Will is more important than anything else)
So we finished the 2nd game last Saturday. We chose the Veil of Twilight early on because this was the only scenario that we almost lost a while ago, and we wanted to take it early on so it won't be more difficult later. In spite of the fact that we already had a little modifier at setup, we won the game after a little more than 1,5 hours. Yay!
The next level of the inevitable game will be much harder and almost exponentially so, but I'm looking forward to a challenge with Agnes. :)
